The Color of Nostalgia

There is an intimate relationship between memory, identity, and landscape.

The memory of smells, colors and sounds that are related to our place of belonging, produces sensations that evoke other times, when we felt safe, protected and therefore free. They leave traces that continue to live in us through time.

Looking for dyes from Native Florida Plants, I was able to recreate those memories from my childhood.

Color became a bond between my memories and my present. Through color and nature, I’m able to connect to Florida, my adopted home, and Argentina, my birthplace.
